The situation
A Series B AI and data SaaS firm, with R&D split between the US and India, was preparing its first major California outbound campaign. Its existing target list had been assembled from several sources, partially verified, and carried real risk of damaging the firm’s sender reputation on the first send.
The approach
A two-stage engagement: Market Research first, then Lead Generation.
The research phase mapped 110 Series B and C companies in California showing hiring signals that matched the firm’s ICP, and profiled eight decision-maker personas across CTO, VP Engineering and Head of Data roles.
The same senior analyst then carried that context directly into a Growth lead generation project. That is the part worth noting: running both stages with one analyst removed ICP drift between the two deliverables, which is the usual failure when research and list-building are bought separately.
The outcome
480 verified leads delivered at 96% deliverability — against an 87.2% industry benchmark (Validity, 2026 Email Deliverability Benchmark Report), and above our own 92%+ target. Twelve days total, from Project Brief to final list handoff.
