This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Gallivant Ventures LLP (trading as Qualified Deals) uses them on qualifieddeals.com, and the choices you have. Read our Privacy Policy for broader information on how we handle personal data.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, improve performance, and provide information to site owners. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by third-party services we use.

Cookies are not the only way a site can store information on your device. Local storage and session storage do the same job by a different mechanism, and this policy covers those too — the law that applies to storing information on your device does not distinguish between them. Where we use local storage rather than a cookie, we say so, because it will not appear in your browser’s cookie list and clearing cookies alone does not always remove it.

2. How We Manage Cookie Consent

We use Cloudflare Zaraz as our consent management platform. The analytics and advertising tags it governs — including Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity and Mixpanel — are set to a denied state before any of them load, and are released only for the categories you agree to. Strictly necessary cookies are not affected, because the site cannot work without them.

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the same controls, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops further collection; it does not delete data already collected, which is covered by the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.

Two exceptions are worth stating plainly, because in both cases your consent choice does not govern what happens.

The first is our contact form. The form on our Contact page is embedded from HubSpot, and its cookies are set when that page loads. If you would rather not be tracked by it, email us at leads@qualifieddeals.com instead — it reaches the same analysts and requires no form.

The second is PostHog, the product analytics tool we use to see which pages are read and where people leave. It is built into the site’s own code rather than loaded by Zaraz, so it starts when the page starts, before you have made a choice and regardless of what you choose afterwards. It records page views and clicks, and writes an identifier to local storage so that repeat visits are counted as one reader rather than several. It does not set a cookie, and it builds no profile of you as a person unless you identify yourself to us. If you would rather it did not run, the browser controls in section 5 stop it; our consent controls do not.

3. Cookies We Use

The table below lists the cookies that can be set on qualifieddeals.com and who sets them. Which of them are actually present depends on the choices you have made and the pages you visit.

Storage that is not a cookie

PostHog stores the following in your browser rather than as cookies. They will not appear in a cookie list, and unlike the table above they are written whatever your consent choice, for the reason given in section 2.

We also use Cloudflare for hosting, security and privacy-preserving traffic measurement. Cloudflare’s analytics do not use cookies and do not identify individual visitors.

4. Cookie Categories

Necessary — Required for the site to load, to keep it secure, and to remember your consent choices. These cannot be switched off.

Analytics — Tell us which pages are read and where people leave. We use this to decide what to write and what to fix. Most of these wait for your consent; PostHog does not, as section 2 explains.

Functional — Support the contact form, so an enquiry from a company we already know is recognised as the same company.

Advertisement — Measure whether an advertisement produced an enquiry. We run paid campaigns on Google and LinkedIn, and these cookies are how we tell which spend was worth repeating.

5. How to Control Cookies

Through our consent controls: use the cookie preferences link in the site footer to review or change your choices at any time. These govern the tags listed in section 2 as managed by Zaraz. They do not govern HubSpot’s form cookies or PostHog.

Through your browser: most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings, and the same settings cover local and session storage — usually described as site data rather than cookies. Clearing site data for this domain removes the PostHog entries in section 3, and blocking JavaScript or using a tracker-blocking extension stops PostHog running at all. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working. Guidance is published by Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari.

Through the providers: Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, HubSpot and PostHog each publish their own opt-out mechanisms, which apply across every site that uses them and not only ours.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, or when our practices change. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through the consent banner.
