FAQ

General

Before the first call.

How is a contact actually verified?

A researcher opens the person’s LinkedIn profile and the company website, confirms the name, the exact title and the current employer, validates the email format, and records the date of that check on the row. A second analyst spot-checks 10% of the file before it ships. Anything that cannot be confirmed is removed rather than delivered as Pending.

What happens if the leads bounce?

Every delivery is covered for 7 days. If your campaign records a hard-bounce rate above 8% — the rate our 92%+ deliverability target implies — send us the bounce report within that window and we replace every bounced record free, re-verified, within 5 working days. Replacements come from the same company as the bounced record, never a different account. Soft bounces, out-of-office replies and spam-filter blocks are sending problems rather than data problems, so those we help you read rather than replace.

Do you charge a retainer?

No. Pilot and Growth are one-time projects, quoted whole before they start. Scale is a monthly subscription with a three-month minimum, then cancel any time. No seat licences, no credits, no tool subscriptions.

What format is the delivery?

A CRM-ready XLSX workbook plus a matching UTF-8 CSV with a BOM. It drops straight into HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Instantly, Smartlead or any outbound stack, with field mapping agreed before delivery.

Which markets do you research?

Primarily the United States, United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East. Our clients are based in India, the US, the UK, the GCC and the EU. The research team is in Kochi.

Do you run the outbound campaigns too?

No, and that is deliberate. We hand off a cleaned, structured, ready-to-use list. Sequencing, cold calling and appointment setting stay with your team — we are better at our part because we only do our part.

Services

Lead generation, database hygiene and market research.

Lead generation

What is the difference between an MQL and a Marketing-Qualified Company?

An MQL is one person who showed interest. A Marketing-Qualified Company is an account that matches your ICP on firmographics, whether or not anyone there has raised a hand. We deliver the second, with the decision-makers mapped inside it, because an account list survives a job change and a single contact does not.

What gets excluded from the file?

Generic inboxes, contacts whose current employer we could not confirm, titles that no longer exist, and anything outside the employee band, sector or geography in your brief. The Method sheet in your workbook names how many were removed and why.

How long does a lead generation project take?

A Pilot is 5–7 days from a confirmed brief. Growth is 10–14 days. Scale delivers weekly batches. The clock starts at brief confirmation, not at enquiry.

Do you send the outreach as well?

No. We build and verify the list and hand it off CRM-ready. We do not write sequences, send email or manage campaigns on your behalf. That boundary is deliberate: the firms that do both tend to be judged on volume, and volume is what breaks a verification standard.

Database hygiene

Why do B2B emails bounce even on a recently bought list?

Because the record was accurate when it was collected and is not now. People change jobs, companies restructure, and a mailbox is deactivated long before the row is corrected. A list assembled from a database rather than checked at the point of delivery carries that decay from the day you buy it.

How fast does B2B contact data decay?

The published estimate we work to is 22.5% of a B2B database per year, cited in our terms to MarketingSherpa and HubSpot. On a 5,000-record CRM that is roughly 1,100 records a year quietly going stale. We do not publish a monthly figure, because the ones in circulation are not traceable to a source.

What hard-bounce rate should a B2B campaign expect?

We work to a 92%+ deliverability target, which implies a hard-bounce rate under 8%. That 8% is the trigger on our guarantee: report above it within 7 days of delivery and we replace every bounced record free, re-verified, within 5 working days — always from the same company as the original record.

Can you clean our existing CRM export?

Yes — that is the service. Records are re-checked against LinkedIn and the company website, deduplicated, flagged for job changes, and returned with a removal list naming the reason for each, plus a per-record diagnostic report. Minimum engagement is 1,000 records.

How long does database hygiene take?

3–5 days for 1,000 records, 7–10 days for 5,000. Larger CRM audits are quoted per engagement.

Market research

How do you build an ideal customer profile?

From the accounts that already closed, not from a workshop. We look at the firmographics your won deals share — revenue band, headcount, funding stage, tech stack, geography — then test that pattern against the live market to see how many companies actually match. If the answer is forty, the ICP is too narrow to build a pipeline on, and it is better to know before you commission the list.

What is in a Market Research Brief?

An ICP territory map, decision-maker personas by function and seniority, and a competitor landscape for the territory. It is the strategic frame you commission before a list, not a report you file.

Should we do research before lead generation, or skip to the list?

Skip it if your ICP is proven and you are entering a market you already sell into. Commission it if you are entering a new geography or vertical, because the most expensive list is the accurate one built to the wrong profile.

How long does a Market Research Brief take?

7–10 days per territory, at ₹25,000 or $300. Most clients then commission lead generation against the profile it produces.

Working with us

Where do the records come from?

Analysts triangulate across twenty-plus sources — ZoomInfo, Apollo, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Cognism, Lusha, Crunchbase, PitchBook and company websites — then verify by hand. You are not paying for those subscriptions separately.

Who actually does the work?

The senior analyst who joins your Project Brief runs your delivery. The team is five people and named on the About page. If we cannot staff your project with a senior analyst, we will not take it.

Pricing

What buyers ask about price.

Why fixed-price packages instead of per-lead pricing?

Per-lead pricing commoditises the service and tells the market the product is either low-quality or desperate. Fixed packages let us scope properly, invest the hours the project actually needs, and stand behind the deliverable.

What payment terms do you offer? Can I pay in USD?

Pilot and Growth are 50% on signing and 50% on delivery — Net 15 from invoice domestically, Net 30 internationally. Scale is billed monthly in advance. We accept bank transfer, Razorpay for INR and Wise for USD, with no card surcharges. All invoices are issued by Gallivant Ventures LLP under GSTIN 32AAZFG7923K1ZR.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Pilot and Growth are flat. Scale is already the volume position — ₹60,000 a month for 1,000 leads. Annual prepayment on a Scale subscription earns a discount.

What if I need volume between Growth and Scale?

Run a Growth project to validate the ICP at 2,500-lead scale, then roll into Scale for ongoing volume. The analyst learns your ICP on the Growth project first, which makes the subscription better. Genuinely large one-time projects are scoped custom.

What if the data quality is poor?

The bounce replacement covers it. Above 8% hard bounce inside the 7-day cover, send the bounce report within that window and we replace every bounced record at no charge within 5 working days. Replacements come from the same company as the bounced record, not swapped in from elsewhere. One replacement cycle per delivery, up to the full volume you bought. We do not issue cash refunds — we re-run the records until the file meets the standard.

Is GST included in the price?

No. Prices are exclusive of GST, which is added at 18% on domestic invoices. International invoices are raised under export-of-services rules.

Data privacy, retention and trust

What happens to your data, and who else sees it.

Do you resell the leads you find for us?

No. Every list is built for one client, for one campaign. We don’t pool, reuse, or resell data across engagements. Source data is deleted within ninety days of project delivery, unless you ask us to retain it for a hygiene refresh.

Is buying B2B lead lists legal under GDPR?

Processing business contact data for B2B prospecting is lawful in the EU and UK under legitimate interest, GDPR Article 6(1)(f), provided the interest is balanced against the individual’s rights and the first contact is relevant to their professional role. It is not lawful to treat a purchased list as consent. What matters in practice is whether the seller can show where each record came from and honour a deletion request — both of which we can.

What is your lawful basis, and can you evidence it?

Legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f), with equivalents under CCPA and the UAE PDPL. Records come from public business directories, company websites and licensed platforms used under their terms. The source of any delivered record is auditable on request.

Do you sign a DPA?

Yes. The data processing addendum is published at /legal/dpa/ and can be reviewed before you brief us rather than after. Procurement teams usually want it alongside the anti-spam policy.

What happens if someone asks to be removed?

Send us the request and the record is deleted from our systems and added to a suppression list so it is not re-sourced on a later project. Deletion requests are actioned regardless of which client the record was delivered to.

Do you deliver personal email addresses or mobile numbers?

No. Work email addresses and direct business lines where available. Personal Gmail addresses and personal mobiles are outside what we source, which is both a compliance position and the reason our deliverability holds.

Can we use the data for outreach into the EU and UK?

Yes, subject to your own sending practices: identify yourself, state why you are contacting them, and honour opt-outs on the first request. We deliver the data and the audit trail; the sending obligations under PECR and the ePrivacy rules sit with you as the sender.

Comparisons

What buyers ask when they are comparing.

Which ZoomInfo alternative fits a small B2B team?

It depends what is actually failing. If ZoomInfo’s cost is the problem, a per-project research firm removes the seat licence entirely — a Pilot is ₹35,000 against a platform contract in the ₹12.5L–42L range. If the data quality is the problem, no platform switch fixes it, because the alternatives run the same automated verification. The distinction worth drawing is between renting a database and commissioning research.

Why is a platform cheaper per record but more expensive per campaign?

Because you pay for the whole database and use a fraction of it, then pay again in bounced sends and researcher time correcting rows. A platform priced per seat per year does not scale down to one project. We price the project.

Is human verification actually worth the difference?

Compare what backs each figure rather than the figures. Apollo publishes a 98% email accuracy rate, produced by automated checks, with no bounce policy attached to it (apollo.io, checked 17 August 2026). We target 92%+ deliverability and attach a clause: above an 8% hard-bounce rate we replace every bounced record free, re-verified, within 5 working days. A published rate costs the vendor nothing when it is wrong. Ours costs us the re-run.

What does building the list in-house cost?

Rarely less, once you count it properly: an SDR’s time at market salary, the platform subscriptions they still need, and the opportunity cost of research hours not spent selling. The comparison table on this page prices it out with the assumptions stated.

Are these competitor prices accurate?

They are floors, taken from publicly published pricing pages and industry benchmarks. A real contract with add-ons usually lands above them — ZoomInfo add-ons in particular can triple a contract. We publish the caveat rather than the flattering number.

What are you worse at than a platform?

Speed on demand and self-service. A platform gives you a list in minutes at 2am; we take 5–7 days from a confirmed brief and a person has to be involved. If you need instant access to a large database and can absorb the bounce rate, a platform is the right tool.
